I’m running for 39th District Court judge because this community is my home, and serving the people who live here—at the local level where justice is most personal—matters deeply to me.

I was born and raised in Roseville in a family where showing up for and serving others mattered. My dad served as a judge, my mom as a nurse, my stepdad as a carpenter, and my stepmom as an attorney. Watching the commitment each had to their role taught me the value of service, respect, and hard work—values that continue to shape how I approach my work.

My path to this candidacy began in district court itself. My first job in the legal field was as a clerk at the 40th District Court, where I gained a behind-the-scenes understanding of how the court operates day-to-day. I saw firsthand how much preparation, organization, and leadership it takes to run an effective courtroom, and how important it is for judges to treat every person with patience and dignity. That experience sparked my decision to go to law school and pursue a career as an attorney.

Now, I work in the courtroom every day as a Macomb County prosecuting attorney, where I see how deeply court decisions affect real people in our community—families, working individuals, and those facing some of the most difficult moments of their lives. I also see how important it is for courts to operate efficiently, because people deserve a process that respects their time and circumstances.

I’m running because I care about how justice is experienced at the local level. District court is where people often form their impression of the system as a whole, and I believe that experience should be fair, consistent, and grounded in respect for the law. That belief defines how I approach my work—and the kind of judge I intend to be.
