WHO IS DEREK BOEDEKER?
Derek was born and raised in Roseville and is proud to call the Roseville/Fraser community home. The values he learned growing up—hard work, accountability, and respect for others—guide his service today. As an attorney and lifelong member of this community, he believes the district court plays a critical role in maintaining safety, fairness, and trust at the local level.
He’s running to lead a courtroom where every person is treated with dignity and respect, and where the law is applied fairly and consistently.
The role of district court
The 39th District Court handles the local legal matters that directly affect Roseville and Fraser residents. For many residents, it is the only court they will ever encounter.
That’s why who you elect as your district court judge matters. District court is where people experience the justice system most directly, and every person who walks into that courtroom deserves to feel heard, respected, and treated fairly.
Derek works in district courts across Macomb County every single day. He understands the real-life impact judicial decisions have on individuals and families, and he knows that the tone set by a judge shapes the entire courtroom.
